Cheap Wedding Venues
It's your special day! How do you have the perfect wedding on a tiny budget? Simply because you use a cheaper wedding venue won't make you day any less special. If you get creative, you can find a number of places that will be scenic and wonderful spots to have weddings, and would still be pretty cheap.
By finding a cheap wedding venue you will have more money to spend on the other essentials of your perfect day. The cost of wedding ceremonies are always going up, and people need to save money wherever they can.
Dress, flowers, invitation, reception, cake, it all adds up, so why not save a little money on the venue? The perfect location isn't always going to be the most expensive. The perfect location is where you would be happiest having your wedding.
Where did you meet? Is there some special spot that the two of you love? It could be the answer to your cheap wedding venue.
Here is a list of unique, cheap wedding venues that could make your special day even more memorable.
Your Home
Gardens, backyards, inside a nice home, they can all make great locations for a wedding. Pick one that has a unique looks and feel, or one that belongs to a very close friend or family member. Homes are nice because they cost nothing and you won't be pushed through the ceremony or the reception because of other parties waiting. It cuts the venue cost out entirely, and there are places where you can rent fold out chairs and tables and get all of the extra trappings of a wedding as well. One thing to keep in mind about this is that likely, you will have to do an outdoor wedding - unless you know someone with a huge house - and that might be a problem in terms of the unpredictability of weather. Of course, you can fix all of this by simply having a tent for the ceremony to take place under.
Quaint Church

Many will try and go to the larger churches, but these can cost more. Finding a smaller, quainter church can make your special day more personal. And if you belong to a specific church, this will often help you save money. Churches are nice because they come with a priest who you can choose. The size of the church, of course, has an influence on how many weddings/funerals/other ceremonies there are likely to be, and that in turn will effect the cost of doing a wedding at these churches. Often, churches will have reception halls that are none too pricey as well.
Museum
Many don't think about this option, but many museums allow sections to be rented out for the purpose of special events, like weddings. This is also cool because people don't think of it, which means that you will probably get a cheaper price. It is also kind of cool to surround yourself with works of timeless art, which would underscore the endless love of marriage. Yes, museums are the Lionel Ritchie of wedding venues.
Mountaintop
Why not have your wedding on a mountain top? The scenic view, fresh air, and, hopefully, gorgeous weather can make this a very cheap wedding venue. Make sure you have permission from the land owner. Even if this seems absurdly over the top and may be setting unrealistically Sound of Music expectations for your marriage, it IS a very cheap, very memorable way to do a wedding. Additionally, weather in the mountains can be pretty easy to predict ahead of time during certain seasons, making this one of the more dependable outdoor options. Try it barefoot.
Forest
Forests can be serene, beautiful, and the perfect spot for a wedding. Forests will offer a serene environment for your special day. And really, as long as the land is not owned by a crotchety old man with a shotgun, you can pretty much do it anywhere. There are limits on the size of the wedding here, and you'll also want to make sure your guests throw granola rather than rice.
Park
Parks are about as cheap as you can get. Most will allow for wedding ceremonies, and many won't even charge you. You will need to contact the city to get further information on whether or not park will be allowed. Generally, this is a good idea. Unlike the friend's home option, there will likely be a gazebo or a roofed area somewhere in the park, and it usually is not expensive at all. It is also a generally pleasant place to have a wedding.
Amusement park
It's non-traditional, unique, and would make for a memorable day without the wedding. An amusement park makes for a great cheap wedding venue just because it's a location that no one really thinks about when it comes to weddings. Speak with the park management to reserve space.
Beach
It's traditional, classy, scenic, and close to perfect for any kind of ceremony. The beach is one of the best wedding venues. You'll have the sites, sounds, and smells of the sea on your special day. This is another spectacularly easy place to predict weather. Certain seasons don't see much rain on the beach. If you are feeling especially cool, you can do what my uncle and aunt did at their wedding, and get married on a boat while your family and friends sit on the nearby shore.
No matter what your budget is, you can find cheap wedding venues in your area to make your special day memorable.
